Strengths and Weakness:

This book is well presented with easy to read information and lots of fun illustrations to engage teens. It is a workbook with easy to understand information, worksheets that require the teenager to consider their own situation and clear effective strategies to develop skills needed to overcome social anxiety. This book is a self-help book using evidence based CBT and ACT. It can also be used as a workbook by a mental health clinician. The book also includes brief information on when to seek professional help.

Recommendations:

This book would be used as self-help book by teens with mild social anxiety and as a workbook supporting work by a mental health clinician for teens with moderate to severe social anxiety. The book follows sequential process for managing and overcoming social anxiety.
