Book Summary:

Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions is a self-management book to support individuals to look at healthier ways to live with their chronic condition/s.  The book covers a range of good topics such as what is a chronic condition; self-management skills; how to use resources successfully; signs and symptoms; benefits of exercising; healthy eating options; understanding food nutrition; weight management; medicines; treatment decisions and planning for the future.

Chapter 2 – Becoming an Active Self-Manager. This chapter is very useful in understanding what self-management means. Self-Management is always a decision; a decision to be active or a decision to do nothing; a decision to seek help or a decision to suffer in silence.  This book will help you with these decisions.

I would recommend this book for anyone interested in learning about chronic conditions and how to make positive lifestyle changes.
