Suitable for: This book is excellent for any person wanting to increase their knowledge of self-awareness and creative expression through writing. It is also great for anybody wanting to begin or further their creative writing practice. Intermediate reading level.

Book Summary: 

This book is a collection of therapeutic tools, techniques, practices and activities all presented in a very user-friendly format. Jackee covers a wide range of healing practices often used in counselling and creative writing and presents each one in a very concise format – giving the essential information and practical application exercises. It is a true Self Help book encouraging ways to manage your emotions and connect again with your Intuitive Self, the place where all true healing and creativity lives.

 Strengths and Weaknesses:

Excellent presentation and easy to use format and practice. You can turn to any 2 page spread for a synopsis of that particular ‘Way’ or writing practice and each page offers a consice explanation and practical exercise to do.

Very easy explanations all well supported with scientific research and great application exercises. The book is very colorful and A5 size with glossy pages making it easy to hold and enjoyable to read.

 Recommendations:

I recommend starting from the beginning and working through all the exercises. I enjoyed Way 16 Fingerwalking the Labyrinth on page 58!
